Deceit has gone free to play! Those familiar with the game mode Trouble in Terrorist Town in Garry’s Mod will feel right at home in this one. The goal is simple escape with the 6 of you, but don’t get killed by the terrors in the night and by the infected among you.
It’s a game of deception and betrayal. You are part of a team of 6 individuals starting out only with a gun, 2 of you might be infected, but you have no way of knowing it is. The goal is to collect armor, weapons and useful items to slow down the terrors or they give you a way to detect who is infected among your group. There will be temporary blackouts where you’re supposed to hold out on your own while finding fuses to unlock gates to the next area. Progress far enough until you can escape. But like I said, you can’t trust that person you’ve been running around with. For all you know, he might be infected and is ready to put his teeth into you when the lights are out.
The infected are randomly chosen at the start. Their goal is to stop the survivors from escaping. You’ll be doing the same as the survivor but with one extra job that could betray your true motives. Around the areas blood bags are hidden and if you find enough of these you’ll be able to transform into one of the terror forms that hide in the shadows. Once the next black out occurs, you can start hunting down the survivors among you. It’s important to make sure you are not showing yourself transform, as the others will be able to call out which character was infected the next time the lights go back on.
As a survivor, you’re going to have to look out for telltale signs such as missing blood bags, people acting weirdly around you. Microphone is vital to call out any suspicious behavior. Don’t be trust anyone. As an Infected, you’re going to want to seem as innocent as possible. That is, until the black outs occur, then it’s time to hunt.
